News just in: Bradford is very windy and wet at this time of year. We trudged up a few hills and popped into the NMPFT. The lads thought it wonderful, especially trying to work out how good all the broken interactive exhibits could have been. I forced them to take time out from having a blast looking at cels from Jackson Five cartoons, playing with creakingly old Yorkshire TV cameras and admiring deguerrotypes to nip in to see the Tony Ray-Jones exhibition A Gentle Madness. I asked them what they thought of Ray-Jones's amazing depictions of English life. "They're black and white," is about all they could come up with. Ah well. I thought it was marvellous. We followed that up with more culture in the form of Ikea's Swedish meatballs. Mmmmm.

Bez is certainly bringing his vibes to the Big Brother house. It is painfully obvious that hardly anyone knows who he is or, if they are aware, they can't understand a word he says. I look forward to watching him arrested live on Channel 4 when he slips out some cheeky substances from his holdhall. I can picture Mr Ryder watching the entire thing unfurling, fat Elvis-like in his LayZboy, necking dozens of Rennies and poised to register multiple phone votes for his old dancing monkey. Surely there's only one winner.
