Huge rumblings at this Northcliffe-owned (for how much longer?) place of work today. The job lot might be up for sale. It might not be. Nobody really knows anything. But, if you've got £1.5bn to hand, it could be yours. These announcements are an unusual motivational technique for a workforce already flapping about cost-cutting exercises. Hands up everyone who thought they were trimming us down to make the place an attractive proposition all along? Aim Higher indeed. Woo, too many hands to count there.
