I feel fine...

I have accrued a £2 library fine, which is no great disaster, especially given that the last time I borrowed books M selected three of the five, which means that, in real terms, I only owe 80p. Rather than explain all this sub-letting of a library ticket to the librarian dealing with my returns, I told him that I would settle the account the next time I borrowed books, and, thank the Dewey Decimal Classification System, that was good enough for him.
A sigh of relief breathed, I sauntered slowly around town before I headed to meet a mate at a low-budget curry club-fixated pub in town. Only, when I turned up, late, at the doors of the pre-determined pub, it suddenly dawned on me that I should actually have been at a pub in Hull's slightly more salubrious Princes Avenue area. So I had to leg it back across town, pausing to take in the progress of the city centre demolition - the front of the train station looks as if it will be going shortly - and concrete pouring.
Eventually, we sat back and relaxed in the bamboo-enclosed confines of Lounge, supping Kronenbourg and within close proximity to a fair few complete and utter arseholes, who were talking about, amongst other dreary subjects, a 'management buyout'. Towards the end of our drinking and amiable chat a small girl approached us to show us her sizeable Pokemon cuddly toy, a slightly surreal disturbance, given that the toy had been fashioned out of flourescent material that, frankly, looked somewhat radioactive.
