Point...

I keep going on about Spurn Point. You might not know what it is. It is a sandy peninsular at the junction (junction?) of the River Humber and the North Sea. Here is a 360 degree panorama for you, with real wind audio. I have made the footage look exciting by adding some scratches and slowing it down. My, if it wasn't for the Toyota Yaris this footage could be from the 1970s (I had asked some cocklers to dress in garish flares and stand in the background but sadly they are not in shot. Missing, presumed eaten by their own cockles).

Somehow reminiscent of Get Carter.

I can see the Get Carter thing. It's a strange place Spurn, in the middle of summer on a gorgeous scorchingly hot day, you can have the whole beach to yourself. Yet I always find it more attractive at this time of year.

It's the weirdest place - and also a quite amazing place to simply stroll and think. Until, after about five minutes, you start to feel the chill and run back to the safety of the car. More disturbing than the bleak location, though, are all those sodding bird spotters diving in and out of hedges in their camouflage pants.
