One down, three to go...

Well when we went out this morning we appeared to have a full complement of conifers between ours and the house next door. When we returned it was a different story - a quick glance out of the rear window was all I needed to conclude that we have been the victims of storm damage. Luckily, the kittens I keep in that otherwise empty cardboard box and the box itself went unscathed (joke! They all died. No, just kidding - they merely suffered multiple fractures. Hah, got you, there were no kittens. Just an empty box. Undamaged). Must have been some gust to uproot a conifer so I'm glad I wasn't around when it happened. Actually it was quite hairy when I went out for a closer inspection of the damage - with three other quite significant trees also on the verge of collapse wafting o'er the top of my head. The RNLI coxswain was definitely right yesterday when he told me: "There's a storm on the way."

I can't decide which kitten scenario is funnier. But I'm glad all is okay!
