It's just not cricket...

Far too much emphasis placed on cricket and the return home of the England cricket team during the massacre in Mumbai and a general skew towards reporting the danger that Britons and other Europeans faced. Odd. But what we've grown to expect.

In other news, I have amassed a small pile of books that I don't appear to be getting any closer to reading. As ever, a couple of Japanese works - Hitomi Kanehara's Autofiction and Natsuo Kirino's Grotesque. Those two are sidling up to Sam Selvon's The Lonely Londoners and Six Plays by Mustapha Matura and I could swear they scream 'read me' whenever I get close. The last book I got round to finishing was Jake Arnott's The Long Firm. Took me a couple of weeks to get through that one, such is the strugge I'm currently having to keep my eyelids open. So expect reviews of the aforementioned books late 2009.
