Return to spiritual home to watch Mike Kenny's take on The Little Mermaid. Excellent stuff - not at all Disney, thank Walt. Sad ending, as per Hans Christian Andersen. Consoled ourselves in Ye Olde Starre Inn before heading to Buzz for a bento box full of nosh. Picked up copy of Tom Wolfe's Kandy-Kolored Tangerine-Flake Streamline Baby. A mere £1.99 from Oxfam. Discovered home email has ceased to be. Guess that's what happens when you cancel direct debits.

Brief hellos with Marcus Romer at the theatre. And the director, Asha Kahlon, who seemed v nice. MR starts rehearsals for Abigail's Party on Monday, same day as my fandango kicks off. Stifled conversation though, as none of us really knows each other well enough to move beyond "so, you're all right, are you?" There's a lot of that happening to me these days.

Home in time to pen review prior to settling down in front of Doctor Who and Big Brother (Lesley went last night, awwww. Serves her right for urinating in front of people). Rest of weekend redrafting play and sweating.
