Aren't we all just drinking ourselves completely silly for 24 hours a day now? In many ways it would be a fitting day for sporting legend George Best to die. Have been staring at the "End draws near for Best" headline on Sky News for most of the afternoon. It's beaten every other headline to top spot, quite rightly. Am trying to work out - as I don't have access to the remote control to find out - how stories headed "Bars can now open longer" and "Pubs can keep on serving" could really differ. Must be an otherwise quiet day. Bit of a shocker in at number seven on the Sky News charts though - "Cameron beats bear with pole." Oh, no, sorry, I need an eye break, it's "Cameron beats Blair in poll".
