Met Sully's best mate tonight. Great guy. And very keen to lead me into his garden and show me his koi. Everyone is amazingly helpful the minute they know what the play's about. Also spoke to Fidel, who'll be playing Sully. He sounds v cool. Sent him lots of notes so he can get cracking. He said playing the part of Clive Sullivan in Hull is like heading to Kentucky to play Muhammad Ali. Good to know that I'm not the only one feeling the weight of audience expectation.
