Drew my X-Box simulation of the Stanley Cup to a conclusion last night, the Carolina Hurricanes running out winners over the Oilers in overtime of the seventh game. This is not to be confused with the real life version, which gets back underway tonight in Edmonton with the series score currently standing at 3-2 in favour of the Canes.
Before this I caught up with the folk from the newspaper, drinking on Lamp's 'terrace'. I secured my membership card for the same establishment after eyeing these black and silver sexy little credit card-sized numbers piled high on the bar. I exchanged my email for a card and the promise of future electronic updates. I was given card number 002. Typical, I'm always the bleedin' runner up.
