Why put off until tomorrow what you can put off even longer...

I thought I had a meeting looming about the play and better crack on with the new bits today but when I looked in my diary, I realise it's another week away, so I can put it off even longer than I already have. So I'm staring out of the window and wishing I was working in Mark Haddon's nice basement space. I did read a book for research purposes on the train yesterday but I was slightly put off absorbing any of the information within the cover by the pierced skateboarderish looking girl across the carriage, who opened her ultra-cool back pack and pulled out two teddy bears, and promptly made them talk to each other all the way from South Milford to Hull via the miracle of bad ventriloquism.

Writing has been slightly hampered by the sad and final death of the constantly breaking down, virus-prone laptop. Saturday I ended up buying a set of precision screwdrivers so I could crack open the case and spend several hours trying to revive dead machine, all to no avail. Instead, the only option was to remove the hard drive and put it in this old thang I'm tapping away on now. Miraculously I'm back in business and the £2.99 screwdrivers feel like a worthwhile purchase. I knew there was a reason I saved all those old machines.

Aw, cheers for thinking of us, Stephen, which is more than the pesky national media and them Government types have done. We're fine here and I'm back, just got caught up in some long-overdue and, up until today, sadly disorganised admin.
