Crying in a bookshop...

I would love to meet the person responsible for programming the music that plays across all branches of Waterstones. Everything that can be heard in said bookstores feels as if it is about to rip out one's heart. Where on earth does this person find all these emotive tunes? The music, in conjunction with the thousands of books on the shelves that I will never get round to reading, just overwhelms me, whether I'm browsing the Tokyopop or checking out the Humour section. If it weren't for the fact that I'd probably be carted away, I'd fall to my knees and sob.

The music is picked by the staff.....which will explain why, if Lucy is at work, you'll hear Billy Idols christmas CD at the Waterstones in Hull
