No, downloads don't undermine UK television and film...

Sadly, this bunch of letter writers merely demonstrate that they are out of step with the modern world. I expect more from people that shape the minds and lives of their audiences (yeah, yeah, the internet's evil). Blimey, they'll be telling us home taping is killing music next. People that download do buy as well, although I wouldn't really expect Mike Leigh and Ken Loach to understand that as I shouldn't think either man is heading to Limewire after getting an inkling of the next big thing from Hype Machine, nor has uTorrent installed, before making legit purchases at Play or Amazon or wherever. And how many people are scrambling around for torrents of Alan Parker and Kenneth Branagh films, fer flip's sake? Embrace it or die, dinosaurs.
