What I do...

I have noticed a strange phenomenon that may, or may not, be specific to me: the less time I spend writing plays, the more I am inclined to announce to people that I am a playwright. When I'm actively writing, I'm a tad embarrassed to state my occupation.

Tomorrow I am interviewing a European Boxing Champion. Purportedly for one piece of work that I'm doing now but more likely to be of real use for the play with a boxing backdrop that I'm writing for performance in 2010. So, once he's shown me his belt, I will tell him that I am a playwright.
